Short biography

I’m a psychologist and I teach at Faculty of Psychology at Ecological University of Bucharest.  I graduated from Faculty of Psychology in 1999, and Public Relations studies in 2001. I am co-author of the books “Multidimensional consciousness” (2003) and “Psychology of Self-Actualization. A Journey Toward the Center of Being” (2001).

Between 2003-2005 I was a researcher at Institute of Psychology, Romanian Academy of Science, at the neuropsyhology lab and head of the stress research programme.

I have a PhD degree since 2008, in psychological anthropology, with a research on Consciousness Quotient (CQ) and development of the CQ Scale. The research took place at the Institute of Anthropology of the Romanian Academy of Science, under coordination of Cornelia Guja, PhD and professor Constantin Bălăceanu-Stolnici, PhD. 

Between 2004-2008 I have studied Dreamwork Psychology, at the Romanian Dreamwork Center, under direct training of the world known expert Strephon Kaplan-Williams (one of the founders of the American Association for the Study of Dreams).

My activities and projects. A short summary

Since 2002 I developed various projects in the field of health, science and entrepreneurship. In psychology field I have started “Romanian Associations for Transpersonal Psychology” (2002); “Romanian Dreamwork Center” (2003, www.explorarea-visurilor.ro); “Center for Psychological Tests and Assesment Instruments (2004, www.testepsi.ro)”, where I publish annualy “The Romanian Catalogue of Psychological Tests and Assessment Instruments””, the only catalogue presenting all the assesment instruments and tests used in Romania.  

Between 2003-2005, as a manager of the Romanian Association for Transpersonal Psychology, I have organized a series of events: the first “Transpersonal and Humanistic Psychology Conference” (2003); The European Transpersonal Association Conference (2003); first conferences in Romania with international trainers introducing holotropic breathwork (2003 – Bernadette Blin, Vladimir Maykov), transpersonal therapy (2003 – Bernadette Blin), dreamwork psychology (2004 – Strephon Kaplan Williams).

Between 2003-2005 I was a board member of the European Transpersonal Association (EUROTAS).

In 2003 I have founded Psihologia Azi, a psychology magazine for large public, which appears monthly with a circulation of 20.000 copies, sold at newsstands and available by subscriptions. Now the magazine has become no. 1 magazine on his niche.

In 2005 I have organized the first “Romanian Psychology Fair and Expo” (www.salonulpsi.ro), the only annual event where organizations from psychology field (universities, ngos, publishing houses, private clinics etc.) present their services to large audience . With this ocasion, I have started the first public recognition of the work of psychologists, “The Excellence in Psychology Awards”.

In 2007 I have launched ”Reteaua Info-Sănătate” (Info-Health Network), www.info-sanatate.ro, the national network in hospitals and clinics, active now in more than 250 locations (public and private hospitals and clinics) in 70 cities of Romania. We publish and distribute free in the network a set of health magazines (80-100.000 copies per month) and a newspaper for medical staff (30.000 copies). In 2008 I have started an Indoor Advertising network in these locations, with click-frames located on the walls of the waiting rooms of the hospitals and private clinics.

Mass-Media

I write articles and give inteviews to mass-media whenever asked for. Usually I am requested to offer professional points of view as an expert in the psychology field (see my Competence & Know How Page). I have a good partnership with all the major TV stations and radio stations, as well as with the national newspapers.

Now I wrote on a permanent basis articles in “Psihologia Azi” and in “Info-Health” magazines. Also, I wrote for the national newspaper “Romania Libera” every monday, in the Job Section.

Other

I do not offer counselling or therapy services for private individuals. Instead, I have decided to express my views and thoughts through books, articles, interviews, conferences and workshops.

P.S.
Although I fell more comfortable calling myself a planetary citizen and/or a European Union citizen, I have a permanent residence in Bucharest, Romania. I was born on 31st of december 1975, in Şimleu Silvaniei, a small and stylish town in the north of Transylvania, and I moved to Bucharest in 1996.
